Meet the owners
Garrett Monks and Blake Bassham are the passionate team behind Ayers Farm Farmers Market. Together they have built a business centered around community, hard work, and a love for agriculture.
Garrett Monks is a proud father of four — Payton, Kyler, Carolina, and Winsley — and brings over 20 years of experience in horticulture and agriculture to the farm. Garrett’s passion truly comes alive in the changing seasons, especially with vibrant spring flowers and fall pumpkins. He has a natural artistic touch and enjoys creating colorful plant displays that invite customers in and make the market feel welcoming and alive. If you visit the farm, you’ll almost certainly see Garrett outside watering plants, unloading watermelons, arranging flowers, or working on a new display, always with a smile on his face and a willingness to help customers find exactly what they’re looking for.
One of the newest and most exciting services at Ayers Farm is Front Porch Decoration with Garrett. With his artistic eye and passion for design, Garrett recognized a growing demand for beautifully styled seasonal porch displays and knew it was something Ayers Farm could offer in a special way.
Garrett personally designs each porch display with careful attention to color palettes, textures, and seasonal elements that complement your home. Whether it’s vibrant spring flowers or stunning fall pumpkin displays, Garrett creates arrangements that transform ordinary front porches into welcoming seasonal showcases.
The best part? Our team handles everything. We swoop in like ninjas in the night, carefully installing your custom porch display while you’re away. When you return home from work, your front porch will be completely transformed into a beautiful, professionally designed display that welcomes family, friends, and neighbors all season long.
Blake Bassham discovered his love for the business at the young age of 19, and his entrepreneurial spirit has driven him ever since. Blake’s passion is traveling, building relationships with growers, and sourcing the very best products to bring back to the market. He is constantly on the move — checking on crops, discovering new items, and planning what’s next for the farm. Blake is also a proud father to Adalynn and Hyatt, and he loves the hands-on side of the business — loading trucks full of flowers, pumpkins, Christmas trees, and the best tomatoes you’ll ever taste.
In recent years, Garrett and Blake have expanded their vision beyond produce and plants into the home goods market. Blake began designing hand-tied decorative bows, now branded as “Blake’s Bows.” Using high-end designer ribbon, these bows are paired with handmade wreaths to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that bring a unique look to customers’ front doors.
Garrett and Blake officially started their business journey together in 2019, and through hard work and dedication they have continued to grow each year. In 2023, they proudly purchased Ayers Farm, expanding their vision even further. Today, they are excited to be growing again with a new operation at 1209 Meridian Street, where they have big dreams for the future.
They invite you to stop by, say hello, and see what’s new at the farm. Whether you’re picking out flowers, pumpkins, fresh produce, or seasonal décor, Garrett and Blake look forward to welcoming you to Ayers Farm Farmers Market.
